Hakes Brothers Valentines Tips

Valentine’s Day Home and Design Tips

Tiffani runs and operates a lifestyle blog, helloluvs.com. In 2019, Tiffani became a proud owner of a Hakes Brothers home. We are excited to feature her as a guest blogger to share her home and design tips in 2020.

Happy February! The month of all things pink, hearts and love.  So much love for kids, spouses, fur babies, and a new home! We have had such a fun time decorating and turning our Hakes Brothers home into a place of pure Valentine’s bliss. Yes, I have a slight flare for the dramatics…just roll with me.

We can without a doubt say that we, Own The Home We Love.

As a wife and mom to three little girls, creating sweet memories has always been a top priority. That is why we go all out for Friday night themed dinners, holidays, sleepovers, you name it. Don’t even get me started on birthdays, that’s another post all together. Creating these memories has become such an easy task in this new space we call our home. The open floor plan allows for more fun and better interaction at Valentine’s parties (hint hint, wink wink). Our beautiful Kitchen with a huge island (did I mention the granite?) Perfect for setting out all the flowers and heart goodies for everyone to enjoy!

Decorating has been love-ly!

See a trend here, I crack myself up. But really, this beautiful space has allowed me so much freedom and fun in planning and executing some awesome holiday decor. The natural light opens the space beautifully and makes everything look more inviting. There are so many nooks and areas that can be spruced up and tailored to any holiday.

I love to walk in a home and instantly feel welcome. That is why the long entry is such a fun place to add a comfortable element, anything that makes people feel right at home. Upon walking in friends and visitors are immediately drawn to the rustic seating area with comfortable pillows, a cozy blanket and a place to store their things for the duration of the visit.  It’s also the place that the kids leave backpacks, jackets, shoes, sports equipment. All the things that can drive a mama crazy. But hey, at least it still looks pretty.

Pillows make a SWEET addition.

Let me preface this by saying that these rooms do not look like this on a day to day basis. However, A mom can dream, right?

We actually live and have fun here. On any given day you will have a kid jumping on the bed, or the blinds drawn for a dad who wants to sleep in. Just keeping it real friends!

On those days where you want to get a little more festive… you can make any room in your Hakes Brothers Home Valentine’s Day ready. Just add a pop of color from a throw blanket or Valentine’s pillows with a sweet sentiment. These small additions transform your space from everyday fun to “bring on all the hearts!”  The possibilities are endless with tall ceilings and natural light.

The HEART of the Home!

What is the saying? “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach” In this case, it’s true with both my husband and my children. Our dining area is where we spend most of our family time together.  Why not gussy it up a little with wall decor or a holiday table-scape. It adds an extra element of fun to an otherwise normal dinner. Or as normal as you can get with five different personalities.

There is so much fun to be had in your spacious Hakes Brothers kitchen. Those special memories can be made creating the cutest and sweetest culinary masterpieces together.

Let’s not forget about the most important, the food. There is so much fun to be had in your spacious Hakes Brothers kitchen. Those special memories can be made creating the cutest and sweetest culinary masterpieces together.  And, just in case you’re wondering. Yes, our family of five has done it semi-successfully. There may have been mops and brooms involved.

All this being said…

So much love and dedication has gone into the construction of a Hakes Brothers home.  It is so easy to recreate that love with your family in one. Don’t just take my word for it, go check them out yourself.  You will see exactly why it is so easy to turn your house into a home.
